Based in Illinois, the law firm of Codilis and Associates was formed in 1977. The practice focuses on the real estate and mortgage lending industries. Codilis donates to a number of charities, including The Mercy Home for Boys and Girls. The Mercy Home is a Catholic non-profit that provides shelter, food, and clothing to young people between the ages of nine and 24. The organization was set up in 1887 to solve the growing issue of homeless boys around Chicago. Since then, it has expanded to cater to more than a hundred youths on two separate campuses. Its residential programs are at the core of its services. The organization’s residential program is tailored to meet the needs of children, not only basic survival services but also education, security, and spiritual development. Many of the kids it caters to are behind in school, so The Mercy Home uses its resources to encourage them to succeed academically. It conducts daily math and reading tutoring to help them catch up and overcome academic challenges. The program also teaches financial responsibility by introducing the youths to vocational and career resources through internships at companies that partner with the organization. It also offers opportunities for extracurricular activity, such as cooking, dance, and gardening. In addition, the young people carry out community service to equip them to be positive members of society. via WordPress https://ift.tt/OGcmhQq
